ADDITIONAL ARCHITECTURAL OR STRUCTURAL DESCRIPTION:

2 Story, L-shaped plan, clapboarded structure. The right section, w/the gable facing the road was used as a millinary shop in the 19th century and is believed to be earlier than the main section which is 45 x 2 bays. This building has a fairly wide roof overhang, cornerboards, and a frieze. There are two front entrances, one on the right side of the eaves front, and the other centrally located in the gable front. The gabled (store) entrance is flanked by a large 6/6 window on each side. Other windows are 2/2 w/lip moldings. There is also a gable wall dormer on the center eaves front. A one story porch w/turned columns spans the front of both sections. The south gable end has a bay window on the right side. The vernacular Queen Anne structure was built by John Howard. West of the building there is a 2 story, early 20th century gambrel-roofed barn w/vertical plank siding. Good condition
